The Family Support Center, a unique partnership between the Talbot County Health Department and the nonprofit Talbot Family Support Center, Inc., prepares Talbot County residents for a life of independence and self-sufficiency.

Regular Services provided at the Center include its Early Head Start Program for infants and toddlers, GED classes, high school diploma program for pregnant and parenting students, English as a Second Language classes, family literacy, parenting education, employment programs and health education.

All programs at the Center are provided free of charge and are open to all Talbot County residents. Many of the programs are offered in English and Spanish.

Talbot County Family Support Center
to Honor Adult Education Graduates

On Thursday, November 2, 2005, the Talbot Family Support Center will honor 12 GED diploma recipients, three high school graduates, and four English as a Second Language students who have made great advances with their English language while participating at the Center. The program will begin at 5:30 at the St. Marks United Methodist Church, located at 100 Peach Blossom Rd., in Easton, MD. Though everyone from the community is welcome, we encourage members from Soroptimist International to attend as they all play a special role in helping our participants succeed.
